The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is hosting its annual fundraising gala, themed “The Great Gatsby” on November 20th from 6 – 10 pm. This year the event will take place at The Douglasville Conference Center. Come enjoy a tasteful dinner, a stylish cash bar, classy music for dancing, charming Silent & Live Auction.

Join our local students and teachers once again to celebrate youth art as families and children celebrate the most wonderful time of the year! The Cultural Arts Center of Douglasville/ Douglas County will be aglow with festivity and joy as the walls are decorated with Winter Wonderland artwork from Douglas County Schools. The opening reception will take place on the evening of December 2, 5-7 pm, hosted by Harvester Christian Academy. Four talented students will win a ribbon for their age group and receive a certificate from the Red Cockerill Gallery. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public.

The Breakfast with Santa is an event for children aged 0-12 and their families that gives them the opportunity to sit down and have breakfast with Santa. Event participants create cookie designs to share with Santa as they enjoy breakfast. Participants are given an opportunity to tell Santa their Christmas wishes and take a photo. There will also be face painting available on the day of the event for an added fee. The cost is $8 per person and children 3 and under are free and names can be added with the paid registration participant. The event is from 9am-11am. Everyone MUST be registered for the event (including parents). There will be no registration the day of the event.

For one night, we will have holiday themed activities and crafts for the kids to do while you are out. Food and activities are provided.
“Notes of Inclusion” is an exhibit presented by four astounding artists in honor of Black History Month, with a variety of styles conducive with the theme of inclusivity. From bold color and patterns to notes of rhythm, music, and dance, the exhibit weaves a visual song resonating a message of diversity and equality among people and perspectives. James Killings Jr., V. Kottavei Williams, Courtney Brooks, and Lawrence Sullivan honor the freedom of individuality and equality in the exhibit, celebrating an open reception on Saturday, January 29, 5-7 pm, hosted by the one and only DC Connection. The “Notes of Inclusion” reception is open and free to the public, including everyone and anyone, just as it promises.
